Start with green

2. ch 7, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sl st 2, sc 2, hdc 2, sl st in last worked st on rnd 1, (sl st in next st, ch 7, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sl st 2, sc 2, hdc 2, sl st in last worked st on rnd 1) 5 times [6 leaves]

Fasten off and weave in ends, alternately, you can knot the yarn tails under the sepal and tuck into the tomato to hide when assembling

Stem

Start with green

1. ch 5, starting in the 2nd ch from hook, sl st 4 [4]

Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing

Sew the end to the centre of the sepals

Weave in ends or pull through to the bottom of the sepal, knot and tuck into the tomato when assembling

Assembly

1. Weave the yarn tail on the tomato through the front loops of the opening, if desired, pull the yarn tails from the sepal through the opening

2. Weave the tail through a few stitches on the underside of the sepal then insert the needle through the centre of the tomato to the base

3. Insert the needle right beside where you came out previously and come out through the top again, catching the base of the sepal. Repeat 1-2 times, tightening the yarn to create a slight indent in both ends of the tomato

4. On the last pass, bring the needle out under one of the sepals

5. Catch a loop on the underside of the sepal, sew to the tomato, then weave through the tomato to the next sepal, repeating around the whole tomato

Fasten off by weaving the yarn tail back and forth through some stitches on the tomato
