Grab your yarn and hook, and let’s get started on creating these adorable crochet peas in a pod!

Start with pea green

1. sc 6 in a magic ring [6]

2. inc 6 times [12]

3. sc in each st around [18]

Stuff while you work round 4

4. dec 6 times [12]

Fasten off and weave in ends

Make 5 peas, leave a long tail and do not weave in on the 5th pea

Using the tail from the 5th pea, sew the peas together in a line

Start with shell green, I used a slightly darker green than the peas

1. ch 19, starting in the 2nd ch from hook, inc, sc 16, sc 4 in the last ch, on the base of the chs, sc 16, inc [40]

2. (inc, sc 18, inc) 2 times [44]

3. (inc, sc 20, inc) 2 times [48]

4. (inc 2, sc 21, inc) 2 times [54]

5. (inc 3, sc 24) 2 times [60]

6. sc in each st around [60]

sc 3, then fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing

Fold the end in half and sew 5 sts together on each side, this forms the tail of the pod.

ch 6, starting in the 2nd ch from hook, sc 4 [4]

1. in the unworked ch at the end, sc 6 [6] (this is the first round, make sure the stem is poking out on the right side of your work)

2. inc in each st around [12]

3. sc in each st around [12]

4. sc 2 (ch 3, sc in the last worked st, sc 4) 2 times, ch 3, sc in the last worked st, sc 2

Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing

Tip: turn the stem inside out while sewing

On the other end of the pod (not the tail end) fold the opening in half, sew the center of the stem to the tip of the pod, then sew 5 sts on each side of the pod together

Weave in all ends

Turn the stem right side out again and pop the row of peas in the pod

And there you have it! Your crochet peas in a pod are done, see you next time!
