• Any Yarn desired, please see photos below for examples of yarn I used and recommened hook sizes

Different yarns require different hook sizes. Using a smaller hook will create tighter stitches and a smaller amigurumi heart, while a larger hook will produce looser stitches and a slightly larger, more relaxed heart.

Made using Embroidery Floss and a 1.5 mm crochet hook

Made using DK/Medium weight yarn and a 3.25 mm crochet hook (recommended is 3.5 mm)

Made using Blanket Yarn and a 7 mm crochet hook

1. sc 6 in a magic ring [6]

2. inc in each st around [12]

3. (sc, inc) 6 times [18]

4. sc in each st around [18]

Cut the yarn leaving a 8 inch tail and pull through to fasten off

Repeat rounds 1-4 to make a second piece, do not fasten off the second piece

Continue working from the second piece to join them together

6. starting in the last worked st of the first piece, sc 18 around, then sc 18 around the second piece [36]

Using the yarn tail from the first piece, sew the gap between the pieces closed then weave in the tail

7. (sc 4, dec) 6 times [30]

8. sc in each st around [30]

9. (sc 3, dec) 6 times [24]

10. sc in each st around [24]

11. (sc 2, dec) 6 times [18]

12. sc in each st around [18]

Stuff the heart firmly

13. (sc, dec) 6 times [12]

14. sc in each st around [12]

Add a little more stuffing to fill in the tip

15. dec 6 times [6]

Cut the yarn, pull the tail through the front loops of the previous round to close off

Weave in the ends and your heart is done!ree
